What the site is

MyShipName provides free name generators — tools that blend names or generate vessel names — along with informational content about ship names. Everything is provided free of charge, with no account required.

Generated names are yours

Names produced by our generators are original combinations created on your device. You may use them freely for personal projects, games, stories, usernames, hashtags, boat names, or anything else — no attribution required, no rights reserved by us on generated output. One caveat: we can't guarantee a generated name isn't already in use somewhere or trademarked by someone else. If you're naming a business, product, or documented vessel, do your own availability and trademark checks first.

Acceptable use

Use the site for its intended purpose: generating and exploring names. Don't attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it aggressively in ways that degrade service for others, or use generated content to harass, impersonate, or mislead anyone. Ship names are for fun — keep them fun.

Baby names and real-world naming

The baby name combiner is a brainstorming toy, not professional naming advice. Generated combinations may not be suitable as legal names in your jurisdiction, and we make no claims about their appropriateness. Always check local naming laws and — more importantly — say the name out loud a few dozen times before committing.

Changes to the service

We may add, change, or remove features as the site evolves — new generator themes, new blend styles, improved result ranking. We'll never add a signup wall or paywall to features that are currently free; that promise is part of why this site exists. If we ever introduce optional accounts (for example, cloud-synced favorites), they'll be strictly opt-in and covered by an updated privacy policy first.
